Or is it?
On more than one occasion I've seen someone write that phrase as "same oh, same oh".
Yes, that's what it sounds like when you say it, but I'm pretty sure it's "same old, same old".
As in "same old thing".
Am I wrong?

it is the same, some people just say it fast and that is what it sounds like. i say and after reading your comment i had to stop and think about what i was saying.
