Something that went well 

- Department director wasn't in office today. I don't know why. No one said anything about her not being there. I didn't ask. It was a nice quiet day 😊

- I had zero meetings on my calendar today. Very rare. I got a lot of work done today 👍

Something to look forward to 

- Social event at the library tomorrow

- I've got books I'm excited to read

What's the best that could happen?

If they decided to eliminate my position (which they've done to multiple people over the past few months), I could leave right away. No need to wait. If they hold so little value for the work I do, what knowledge or skills could I possibly have to pass along to anyone? I could just take my ball and go home. That would be satisfying.
