Babysitter Blues
What do you do when your babysitter no longer returns your calls?
Oh, we get the hint, alright.
She's had enough of us.
We fell for the "my cell phone battery died" excuse more times than turnips would have, but when you're desperate for day care, well, you act stupid just for the pity sit.
But, no more.
Even turnips would have stopped calling by now.
Would have been nice if she'd have just said no.
We could get many eligible sitters through our church, but the problem is, they all live in a different school district and rarely have the same days off school as our kids do.
*sigh*
Forget the sappy "enjoy them while they're young" crap.
I need my kids to be older and more responsible NOW.

They'll get there... They will!
I feel the same way.
I never got teary-eyed one the first day of school, or JH or even HS for that matter.
I enjoyed the days as they came, knowing they would end, part of me wanting them to end so they wouldn't depend on me so much.
The downside is that when they DO get older, they don't depend on you so much. :)
