Something that went well

I bought yarn to make a cat basket for a friend who just adopted a cat. I had, unfortunately, bragged that sure I could make it out of fluffy blanket yarn, which I had never used before and didn't have a hook for. Along with the yarn, I had to invest in a crochet hook the size of a baby's arm.

After a few failed attempts, a desperate Google search for helpful tips, and a fistful of snap barrettes to use as stitch markers, I managed to make it work. And, I finished it today.

Something to look forward to

I'm excited to give the cat basket to my friend. Not sure when we'll meet up, but I'm looking forward to gifting it to her.

Something nice about myself

Crocheting is my love language. While I have sold pieces and even participated in a few craft shows, it's been far more rewarding to donate items to fundraisers or to give them to people who appreciate the work.

It's nice to have a hobby that makes other people happy, too.
