Merry Christmas 2015
We've reached a new place in our lives.
It is 8:30 Christmas morning.
The Husband and I just spent the last half hour or so checking our separate Facebook accounts and leisurely getting out of bed.
There had been a time when we'd wait in bed for the 5- and 3- year old boys to creep out of bed and discover presents under the tree.
Then there had been a time where we'd warn the boys on Christmas Eve that no presents would be opened until after 7am, so don't bother the parents until after that.
This year, we warned the boys on Christmas Eve that if they weren't awake by 10am, we would stir them.
So, we are now at the place where the parents are more awake and eager for Christmas than the children.
I have loved every stage of my lovely Ack!Thbbbt! family's life. I cherish each day I have with The Husband and the boys.
Merry Christmas, friends.

Merry Christmas!
4am.
She was up at 4am.
It lasted 45 minutes and I went right back to sleep.
But it is special and fun.
Merry Christmas, Jessica P!
I was up at 4am, too... to use the bathroom. ;-)
Be very glad of all those moments.
I am single and childless, but I loved our family Christmases when I was growing up.
All too soon comes the Christmas where there are no kids in the house to waken or wait for. It's an empty quiet, waiting for grandkids that may or may not ever come. But being able to sleep in? Awesome...unless one of your friends texts at 5:45 in the damned morning and ruins it :/
Yes. The text came at 7:33am today. :-/
