The thing about the bagels is...
After rehearsal, there was much discussion over details, one of which was how the assortment of bagels and pastries on the coffee table would not be edible.
The director explained, "We can't afford to buy fresh bagels every day. So, we'll have to make do with the donation from the local bakery. Since we'll be using them for several days, they're not going to be very tasty."
A cast member leaned over and whispered to me, "What if we only borrowed the bagels? You know, gave them back at the end of the day? 'Here you go! You can still sell them as day-olds'."
Frankly, I'm surprised I didn't think of that.
Crap. He might be funnier than me.
