The early bird gets... ignored.

Listen.
If your kid tells us you're dropping him off at 7:30am and he rings the doorbell at 7:15am, you're SOL. You can either let him get back in your warm, idling car or he can stand there and wait until:
a) I get out of the shower (which will be about 7:30 when I expected someone to show up), or
b) The child your kid came to visit gets out of bed (which will be about 7:25 a whole five minutes before we expected anyone to show up).

That's just what happens when you don't play by the rules.
Next time, tell us 7:15am, and we'll greet the boy at the door immediately, and you can be off to your event in a timely fashion.
