Go Fenix, Go!

I stayed up to watch the first Chilean miner surface last night, and I made sure the boys got to watch one make the trip this morning.

This is wonderful.
Go! Go! Go!

Quite a story, isn't it? This is one that we shall not forget.

Kinda like that little girl in the well in Texas 20 some years ago.

Where was it? And...what was her name? Just kidding.

Good on 'em all. Herculean effort both beneath ground, and above.

Folks here at work talk about how they cried when the first miner emerged. Me? Nothing.

But, I'm finding that the closer we get to pulling the last man out... I'm becoming more and more emotional.

I hope I'm not sounding like a complete sap on the air.

I kept thinking of the little girl in TX that got caught in that well, when I was a kid. I remember it like it was yesterday...

I didn't cry when the first one got pulled out. I'm not a crier, but as they pulled the last one out, I was all hyper. But I wanted those rescuers out!!!
