Boys
They had found an interesting new video game on-line, so the boys needed an extra amount of nagging to get off to bed last night.
My frustration was becoming obvious to them. So much so, that at one point Elder Son cautiously approached me and gave me a hug.
"Sorry about all the grief we gave you," he said.
"All of it?" I asked. "Or, just tonight's?"

You won't get the apology for all of it till they have their own kids.
All of it...that's funny!
I usually just resort to embarrassing my boys in public, so we are always trying to one up each other.

I actually got an apology from mine in his early 20s...he'd been working with some teenagers and the light bulb went off over his head. See, you have something to look forward to ;)
Roses, I'm wondering how son responded to your question.
As to the cartoon...too familiar to be funny!
Girl...we're learning as we go, huh? I've got 3 out of the house and on their own. One is still here, and will likely be with us for a long time (autistic). But, they're all the same.
You're gonna love it when you see that "gleam" of understanding in their eye...
Oooops...when I said, "they're all the same," I didn't mean that they are all autistic. They are just all "boys," and seem to have universal "boy gene junk."
See, I knew you all would relate.
Andy: Elder Son's exact response was (with typical deadpan teenager delivery), "Ha. Ha. Ha."
