When you tell your children, "Keep the house tidy while you're home. Keep all your stuff in one place."
They consider your entire house to be one place.

I'm with May. I also think all of my kids were born with selective blindness, selective hearing and selective common sense....
My son, who is incredibly tidy when in his own space, becomes the opposite when he is occupying mine. Is it genetic or is it programming?
