I should know better by now...
The boys left their Scout handbooks on the floor by the back door Monday night.
Tuesday morning I put the books on the hallway floor between their bedrooms... figuring they'd see the books, pick them up, and put them away.
Uh huh.
This morning, I stopped the 13-year-old in the hallway, pointed at the books still sitting there, and asked him, "Which one of these is yours?"
He immediately stooped to check, and I walked away feeling the mission was accomplished.
Uh huh.
The books are still on the hallway floor, but now the top one has a note that says, "This one's mine."

That will teach you to be smug.... ROFLMAO
LOL...well now you know.
Just be careful when telling them to put an item on the grocery list. Mine took me literally. One day,I found a tube of toothpaste taped to the list. My husband comforted me with, "at least they did not put the actual toothpaste on the list.
And I gave up waiting to see how long they'd let the trash pile up.
My boys at the ages of 4 and 5 are 'literal' already. I have to be careful what I say.
I think he's his Momma's child.
