Putting Things Back Where You Found Them

Elder and Younger Sons have more or less moved into the basement rec room (formerly known as the Mother-in-Law's apartment).  They spend more time there than in their own rooms; they sometimes sleep down there, entertain friends there, eat, do homework, and probably do stuff I don't want to know about.

Occasionally, Younger Son will change into his work clothes down there quickly before racing out the door. On his return, he'll change back into the "civilian" clothes he had left on the floor.
For most of the past week, Younger Son has left the same two sets of clothes on the floor with no sign of moving either set to his room.

Today, I am doing laundry. Younger Son is at work; his civilian clothes are on the floor downstairs.

I'm gonna wash his clothes.  But instead of putting them in his room with the rest of his clean clean laundry, I'm going to place the folded items carefully on the floor exactly where I'd found them.

:-)
