Nothing a little caffeine won't cure.

I spent the night worrying that someone was going to throw rocks through our windows again.

Got up once to turn on the bathroom light, you know, to make it look like someone was awake.
And then I got up later to turn the bathroom light off, you know, in case troublemakers had been driving by for the past hour or so and figured out no one was really IN the bathroom.

Considered getting up one more time to turn the bathroom light back on, you know, in case they missed it being on the first time.  But by then, it was almost time for the paperboy to come around, and his presence would spook any troublemakers.

Still, slept five solid hours, so... who's complaining?

How about you?

Why would somebody throw rocks through your window??

Trip to Home Depot and $20 for a timer you can slap on a light, and you can sleep all night and still have a light going on and off...

Who throws rocks at windows, though? Around here, it's eggs...

Caffeine is good. It keeps the brain wired for more illogical action. I use it all the time. Works for me.

Didn't I blog about the windows two months ago?

Hm. Let me work on that...

I must've missed the window post too. Dang. And I'm with Thumper... a timer.

I don't sleep anymore. I think it's that menopause stuff. They say I'm not in it, but 'peri-menopause'. Right. They can call it what they want, but I just don't sleep anymore.

I must have missed your having rocks thrown at windows as well...

I'm not that sure turning lights on an off will help prevent it happening again, in fact it might just excite some mental defective to aim for a "big laugh" by aiming for the light!

Bring back old fashioned birching and instant justice I say!

Gray Monk: You are correct. Part of the story includes our broken outdoor light fixture.

I'll try to post about the windows next week.
