Younger Son was doing something goofy and only slightly annoying to Elder Son when I heard this exchange:
Elder: Stop it, or I'll slap you silly.
Younger: So... you don't have to slap me at all?

Yep. When one agrees to a "cutting" remark then the person who gives the "cutting" remark has no where else to go.
