You know what I hate about Facebook?

I'll put a lot of thought into a post, but once it's up, it's history.
If I'm one of a hundred "friends", chances are good several of my friends will miss what I posted if they don't check their Facebook page daily.  Within days, my post will be shoved off their page.

And when I reference that post later, they're all, "Huh?  What does that mean?" which requires me to repeat and repost.

What's the point?

Days? Try an hour or so if you have people on your "friend" list who post every other minute or so. I haven't quite figured out where people get all the time to fb and twitter all day long.

Oh well. I guess if they enjoy it - more power to them. It's too much for me. I just hope to catch the occasional important fb post as I glance at my home page thingy that displays the latest fb posts.

Yes, I'm very lame on all fronts - fb, twitter, and blogging. heh.

Roses, I read this the other day, but haven't had time to comment. I have done several blog posts concerning my experience with The Facebook. My conclusion is almost always, "okay..."

I made many fatal mistakes when friends finally talked me in to establishing a Facebook presence. The first was being a Mr. Nice Guy, and accepting "friendship" requests from EVERYONE (even if I really didn't care what was going on with them). I'm a decent Joe, and thought that if I ignored requests, somebody might get their feelings hurt.

There are (as you know) people that have made it their life's work to accumulate as many Facebook Friends as possible...and to tell them what they ate for lunch, what grades little Johnny got at nursery school, and just how dang tired they are after an eight hour day in the salt mines...and a bunch of other junk that (almost) nobody cares about.

In less than a week (while I was trying to work my way through The Facebook maze) I found that I had to to back through pages and pages of garbage to find posts from the people that I was really interested in keeping track of.

As a previous commentor said, your thoughts can disappear in just a few minutes if your "friend" has a bucket-load of "friends."

That's why I stick with blogging to let people know what I'm thinking, and what's going on with me. If they REALLY care, they will come and read. If they don't, I won't annoy them while they are trying to read something they are really are interested in.

Just my two cents...
