School - Explain please?

I know a few teachers read here, so maybe someone can explain...

We received our paperwork for school registration this week.
Registration is on a Tuesday.
From 10:30am to 5:30pm.

When do working parents get to go?
In that half hour between 5 and 5:30?
Skip lunch?

Either time, it's gonna be crowded with other working parents.

Why do they do that?
Why not, say, 12:30pm to 7:30pm?

Just askin'...

It depends on the school. At my school, parents can register any day during school hours (7-3). We do have the 'Meet and Greet' at 12-1, and 5:30-6:30, to help the working parents.

Cocktails at 5:30?!?

That explains why everyone at your house is so happy by the time I get there at 6!
