Things I Wish I'd Known When I Started Blogging:

I wish I'd known that if I pick a blog name like AckThbbbt, I'd have to retype the letters a-c-k-t-h-b-b-b-t every time I log in, leave a comment on another blog, check my e-mail, send someone the link...
I'd have picked something shorter, for sure.

Your turn, go!

Wish I had known that a Google Account attaches to your blogger account.

If you have a Google Account, you don't have to log in to Blogger. You're already in...and if you never sign out of your Google Account (like me), things are MUCH easier.

You never have to type anything except your comment, or blog post.

Other than that, I wish I had known a little bit more about html. And, that people can get their feelings hurt VERY easily...that, too.

Andy, when you and I started blogging, Google didn't own Blogger. So, Google Account didn't attach... in the beginning.

And what are you saying? That I'm whining over nothing because I could just stay logged into my Google account instead of retyping my blog name all the time? Huh?
I'm HURT, sir! Deeply hurt!

Nyuk...

Yeah, I remember those days, too.

I'm giggling, and I can't stop...

By now your fingers should just know what to type.
Just saying.

I wish that when I started blogging I'd known better than to let family know I had a blog... I do hate having to self-censor...

Brandi: Oh, they do.
ackthbbbt

Thumper: I'm glad I *did* know that one out of the gate.
I'd enjoy reading the blog you write that they don't know about. ;-)

Thumper...I knew that one already.

But, I am a married man. And, The Mrs. just can not seem to keep her mouth shut about my blog.

I NEVER mention it to anyone (co-worker, friend, or family), but she will open up her pie-hole at family gatherings, or while visiting with our friends (none of whom I want to know about it), and start talking about "Andy's blog...this or that."

I HATE THAT!!! HATE IT!!!

But, I dare not bring it up with her.

The secret to a long marriage...DO NOT chastise your mate when "they know not what they do."

But Andy, doesn't your wife read *my* blog?
Now she knows...

Yep!

See what I just did?.?.?.?

Now, it's all YOUR fault!

I am an innocent bystander that just got caught up in YOUR mischief.

I'm in the clear...

I started on blogger. Most of my blog friends were where I am now (not putting it here...) and I was given some serious crap for being on blogger. I was told that the serious bloggers weren't on blogger and I needed to move off of it. I liked my little home there. It didn't have the decor, blogger wasn't capable at that time of being able to change templates, but I was content.

Through peer pressure, I moved onto the isp I have now. I wish I had had a stronger backbone and said no. I feel like I'm sponging off the guy who runs it and there are issues. It doesn't have the capabilities that blogger has.

And the person who gave me the hardest time about it... moved to blogger because of frustrations with my current isp.

I LOVE the guy who runs it, heart of gold, but I wish I'd stayed with blogger.
