Messing with the Bank Lady

Opening up a new account so's I can sell chicken hats with PayPal...

The bank lady showed me a fraud alert memo, and advised me to not respond to any e-mails concerning problems with my on-line banking.
"Oh," I told her, "I ignore any e-mails I get from banks.  I figure they're all scams."
"Good," she nodded and turned to put the memo away.
"But, any overseas lotteries... I'm all over those!"

She whipped her head around so fast I almost felt sorry for messing with her.

Lol. Speaking as a former bank manager it is shocking how many people fall for those scams. The overseas loto, the used car scam, the inheritance from someone you never met. I think they work because people want to believe they're going to get something for free.

Good! Glad you're gonna sell chicken hats. PayPal is a good way to go, too.

We actually had a City Councilman get caught up in a Nigerian check-fraud scam. The poor idiot really thought he was cashing good instruments.

He is an older fellow, and it seems that he was new to the 'net, and bit.

Moron.

Sigh...
