In Heaven There Is No Beer

It's a four-line, one-verse polka.
The lyrics go:

In heaven there is no beer;
That's why we drink it here;
And when we're gone from here;
All our friends will be drinking all the beer.

When its first few notes floated out of our stereo, Elder Son remarked, "Oh.  Polka."  And got up to leave the room.  However, as the vocals kicked in, he froze in the hallway.
"Wait.  What?"

Now, he and Younger Son have it memorized.
They think it's hilarious.
I've instructed them not to sing it in school.
"And if you do, don't tell anyone where you heard it."

Between that and the She's Too Fat Polka, I think I might just single-handedly have started a music revolution.
When it comes around to your neck of the woods, remember where it you heard it first, 'k?

I remember singing that under my breath one day in high school study hall and one by one, louder and louder, the entire room took it up. We were finally shouting it in unison and after about three minutes, the giggling study hall monitor/teacher shut us down.
Then he glared at us sternly, shook his finger and said, "Where's mine?"

I love the lyrics. I'm going to sing it all day.

I think we are in the same neck of the woods. But I can credit you, none the less.

Cellar Door: Big forest, but yes, we're in the same neck of it. :-)
