Really.

For those of you who do not have access to a teenager in your home, you should know that "Really" is the new "WTF".

"Really", as in when you sneak up on your high school freshmen son and his friend playing video games and snap their picture because you think they are cute.
"Really, Mom!"

"Really", as in when your teen and his friend are shooting things in their video game and accidentally shoot each other.
"Really, dude!  Really!"

Just thought I'd let you know so you would recognize it when you hear it.
Carry on...

The at home 20-somethings do it! And Really? I do it too! So much better than WTF in the workplace.

Those darned kids would stop it if they knew we were saying that back in the 70s...

Next time he asks for his allowance, you know what to say. "Really!"

In Texas the expression "Id'n 'at nice" is a euphemism for "Up yours."

Hee Hee! It works the same for daughters. As for the trial of parents with teens? I truly believe that most people live through the teenage years twice. Once when it's your own and another when it's your kids. I'm printing up my blog posts just so that I can give them a book on how they did the first time. :o)

I will mourn the loss of WTF. It was a delightful acronym, and will be sorely missed.

Stands for "What's This For?", as I recall.
