Being a Mom means...

... you buy new clothes hangers for your children. You get the nice hangers. The plastic-coated ones that you've been lusting over for years, but you decide to give them to the children because they need "big boy" hangers, and they makes their closet look so neat and pretty like in the magazines. So, you hang your children's clothing up and walk away only to come back later and find their clothes on the floor and your beautiful new hangers are bent beyond recognition.

Naturally, the hangers have been used for playing "archery range".

Being a mom means you don't lose your cool.
You simply replace the now useless hangers with the old crappy ones out of your own closet. And you resolve that you really will start thinking of yourself first once in a while and keep the nice things for yourself next time.

Being a mom in this house meant not losing your cool, but making the kid pay to replace them...or work the value off.

Never really worked, though. He still treats stuff like crap...

At least they're not using your tampons as 'torpedoes' and shooting them across the room. Poor GI Joe didn't know what was attacking him.

Oh crap... But good for you keeping your cool - I would have lost it for sure!
