Winter in a small town

In the past 24 hours, 7 inches of snow fell.

Very early this morning, a hooded man with a snowblower walked along our street.
He blew the snow from our widowed neighbor's sidewalk, blew the snow from our sidewalk, and when he reached the corner he crossed to the neighbor's walk and kept on going.

I don't know where he came from, and I don't know where he stopped because a clear path stretched up the street in both directions as far as I could see.

For all I know, he walked all around town until he ran out of gas.

Who does that?
Good people, that's who.

Shoot, the jerks that live next to us blew their snow onto my driveway.

Richmond: As far as I know, he did the walk in front of your old house, too!

Contagion: They sound like the kind of people that would leave burning paper bags on your front stoop. (Hint: Don't stomp on it if they do!)

The Evil People in Ohio used to do that...with shovels. It would snow and I'd head out to scrape it all up, only to find they'd done it for me.

I miss my Evil People...

Thumper: I used to live between two evil people, two old retired guys. One had a big @ss slowblower, the other had a Bobcat! Whenever it snowed, they'd both go out and race to see who could clear more walks and driveways.
Yeah, I miss those evil people, too.

So you've got a windshield fairy and a snowblower fairy? You must be living right.
