Purr-mometer

Most people gauge the temperature by looking at a thermometer.

In our house, we look at the cat.

All summer long, he's been sleeping either downstairs where it is cooler, in an open bedroom window, or on the tile bathroom floor.
However, now that the nights are a little chillier, he has been camping out at the foot of the bed curled around my feet.

And, judging by his behavior last winter, as the nights get downright cold, he will gradually inch his way from the foot of the bed up toward my head.
The colder the temperature, the higher up the bed the cat will be.

Last night, it was "thigh" cold.

He is our "purr-mometer", if you will.
He measures the temperature in furrenheit.

Ha!!! That's priceless.

I actually had to close some of the windows. AND get the flannel jammies out.

So if he wraps himself around your face, does that mean turn on the freaking heat already! ? That's pretty much what it means here...

Yep, writersblock, didn't you feel the chill of 75 degrees last night? That's a three-dog night, for sure!
