The Funniest News Story - EVER

The husband and I wish we'd have thought of this.

Releasing goats indoors is just juvenile and stupid.
But numbering them 1, 2, and 4 ... brilliant.

I wonder how long police searched for the non-existent goat #3?

Those naughty kids... wow! What a great prank! I knew (married) a guy who, in his senior year, put a teacher's Volkswagen in the second floor hall of the school he attended. Nice to know there are still some great minds out there. They totally should not have been prosecuted, though. Made to clean up the mess, yeah. But prosecuted? No way.

Denise: The husband and I discussed it. "Would it be worth $347 and a week's worth of community service to pull a prank like that?"

And we both think, "Heck, yeah!"

But, I agree with you.
Clean up the mess. Put the goats away. No harm done.

Too bad the police had been called so quickly. There probably wouldn't have been a problem then.

Thank you for visiting!

That's funny! Would have been funny to watch the search for #3 as well!

Too funny, well worth the fines, I'd think. Beats the heck out of the 5,000 rolls of TP scattered over out HS campus...

LOL! Who says kids don't have any imagination these days!

There's a show on MTV2, where they tell pranks, scandals, and controversies. I bet this makes it. I don't see the point in prosecution, I mean...it made a mess, yeah. But no damage was done. It's not like they spray-painted obscenities. Messy, yes. And they should have to help the custodians get the school ready for the new year. That'd be a better lesson.

While I agree this was a harmless prank that did no damage and hurt no one (not even the goats), there is some merit to reimbursing the taxpayers for the money paid to police officers who spent time looking for... heh heh... the, uh... ha... non-existent goat.

I don't know if it's true, but wouldn't it be ironic if the process of prosecution cost more than the police salaries?

Yeah, but I was more thinking that that it's going to add more burden to the DA's office, when they should be concentrating on the real criminals. Hence the statement about the helping the custodians. And I don't just mean the clean up, but the room set ups, being the gophers for teachers. Make them work it off through hard labor. Learn a lesson like that. I don't see the need to make a DA have to deal with it too. Maybe work out a situation where they have to do time at the poilce station over Christmas break. Something like that.
