One wish, two generations

Last night as I tucked him into bed, Elder Son, who just that morning had appeared so smart, asked me, "If you had one wish, what would you wish for?"

There's only one thing I want now-a-days, so I didn't have to think very long.
"I'd wish that I could work less, and get paid the same amount of money. Because I just wish I had more time. Or I would wish I'd win the lottery, because with the extra money, I could work less. It's not the money I want; I'd wish for more time. That's what I really want."

He listened quietly, nodding politely. And when I finished talking, he said, "I'd wish to be swallowed by an alligator where I'd be taken to a world I had total control over."

Uh...
Of course you would.

Mrs_Who: Ever since I switched to beta, I've had to sign in on my own Dashboard before I can leave comments anywhere. I can't sign in on anyone else's comment window, whether I try Blogger or Google.

Thbbbt!

Is that what's happening to you?
